What do we do?
Recently at a couple of auditions for student films, a group of like-minded people got together and asked "well, why aren't we making our own short film". Before too long, we had a potential script and a cast. But we also had a lot more people who were interested, and film ideas. Hence the idea of Wainui Wonder Films, a place to collect and create some of those ideas and turn them into films.
We're all a group of Wellington-based amateurs who just love dabbling and learning around film making. I like to think of us as an amateur drama group, but with a camcorder instead of a stage! We're hoping to have something for the 2015 NZ short film competition, and be experienced enough to do next year's 48 hour film challenge.
Who are we?
Making films is a collaborative venture - as you'd expect then, there is no single person behind Wainui Wonder Films. As we create, we'll be using these pages to showcase our work, so keep it bookmarked for the future.
